The book ‘When Mother Cried’is an autobiographical account of Brian, born in London, who from the age of 3 months, was sent to live in Nigeria. Firstly, with his Uncle, who came to collect him at the airport, then with his grandparents at a remote village. Whilst there, he faced the horror of growing up in the midst of the Nigerian Civil War, and believing his grandparents to be his parents, he later learned and was stunned to hear his real parents were coming to see him at the village. He did not recognise his real parents or was willing to accept them, and this caused his mother to break down and cry..

Brian is currently working on the sequel to his first book. It goes on to cover his teen years, the challenges he faces, and how he overcomes them to excel.
